Bulgaria appreciates relations with Viet Nam


 Ha Noi, Feb. 23 (VNA) - BulgariaconsidersViet Nam a long-term partner and appreciates its fine relations with the country, Bulgarian President Georgi Purvanov told Vietnamese outgoing Ambassador to Bulgaria Nguyen Van Dac, on Feb. 22.

 President Purvanov praised the great contributions made by tens of thousands of Vietnamese workers, who have trained and worked in Bulgaria, to the two countries' multifaceted ties, and said he hopes the upcoming 20th meeting of the Viet Nam-Bulgaria Inter-governmental Committee in Sofia would help promote economic, commercial, scientific and technical cooperation between the two countries.

 The President asked Ambassador Dac to convey his best regards to Vietnamese leaders.

 On this occasion, President Purvanov presented the Order of Madara's Horseman to Ambassador Dac in recognition of his great contributions to developing the Viet Nam-Bulgaria relations.

 The Vietnamese Ambassador expressed his thanks to the Bulgarian people for their assistance to Viet Nam's national construction, believing that the two nations' relationship would be further intensified in the future.

 Earlier, Dac was received by the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of the Bulgarian National Assembly.
